A business for purpose
Since beginning in 2003, Lifestyle Communities has always aspired to be morally, ethically and socially responsible. To do this, our guiding principle was to create a business for purpose, not a purpose for business. As a result, our communities are affordable for people to buy into and sustainable to live in, especially for those on the Age Pension. Our communities feature high quality resort-style facilities, interactive and engaging urban design and an overall ‘luxury’ feel not typically expected from a residential land lease community. Our communities target the 50% of Australians who have less than $520,000 in total equity and are aged over 50, a growing cohort of Australians as the first of the baby boomer start to turn 70 years of age.
Since opening our first community at Brookfield, Lifestyle Communities has since grown to 16 communities either open, completed or under development with nearly 3000 homeowners calling us home. With each new community, we take the opportunity to evolve the model to meet the needs of our changing customer. Our homes and communities are built to a quality that is without peer in Victoria and which still meets our mandate to be affordable and sustainable.

Our homeowners tell us our model works – feedback from our detailed surveying shows 95% of homeowners are prepared to recommend Lifestyle Communities to friends and family, while 54% of all our new home sales are directly referred by existing homeowners. In our industry, or any industry for that matter, these are outstanding metrics which speak to our quality, service and affordability.
