Lyn and Steve are loving their new home and life at Lifestyle Chelsea Heights. Read their story below.
We loved the house we had lived in for 38 years, but as we’re getting older we were faced with the dilemma – do we really want to keep sinking money into an old house that needed work, a bathroom that needed renovating, spouting that needed renewing and all those other jobs that needed doing?
The decision to move to Lifestyle Chelsea Heights was not taken lightly, but when weighing up all the pros and cons the pros won hands down. Not only would we be making money on the sale of our old house, we would be moving into a brand new, modern home with no worries of any maintenance in the near future.
There was not a thing to do when we moved in, everything had been taken care of right down to the smallest details. A beautiful well-appointed kitchen with dishwasher, wall oven, hotplate, double sink and plenty of bench space. A generous-sized bathroom with a large shower and vanity with plenty of cupboard space. Two bedrooms with built-in robes, a study, and wonderful lounge space all fully carpeted. Everything had been thought of right down to the position of power points and TV sockets.
We love being able to entertain on our fabulous al fresco deck during the summer months and our large front veranda is the ideal place to sit and the lawn bowlers and catch up with neighbours. We call our home our ‘Mini Queenslander’, and we have more than enough room when visitors come to stay.
We have lived in the village for more than two years and we are still thrilled with our new home, especially knowing there is no more money to spend.
We love our new home, our new life, and the many new friends we have made. Our pets are loving their new environment too, so all in all this has been the best decision we have ever made.
