Mexican Beef Wrap

Red meats like beef contain amino acids that aid muscle building and tissue repair, making it an excellent protein to eat after exercise.

Servings: makes 2 wraps

Ingredients

  • Wholemeal wraps
  • 250g steak
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika & 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 lime
  • Avocado/guacamole
  • Cherry tomatoes quartered
  • Mixed lettuce
  • Grated cheddar cheese
  • Light sour cream

Method

  1. Combine paprika, cumin, garlic and juice from half the lime in a bowl and coat steaks
  2. Cook steaks on a hot grill pan for 2 minutes each side for medium (or to your liking) and transfer to plate to rest
  3. Heat the wraps on the pan for 1 minute each side
  4. Thinly slice the steak and serve with cherry tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and avocado or guacamole
