Sell your time
Do you have a handy skill and some extra time up your sleeve that others don’t have? Perhaps you're handy with a sewing machine and hemming garments, maybe you have a Ute that could help with moving items or maybe you're a master with home maintenance. Whatever you’re handy with, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be someone out there who would pay for time and skills they don't have! Post a callout on social media, pin a poster to a community board or use a tool like Airtasker.com to find your next customers.

Sell your pre-loved items
If you're in the process of downsizing, don't throw everything away. Before considering the tip, think about whether the items you're no longer using could add value to someone else's life. To sell the items, host a garage sale, post them to Gumtree.com or if you're already a Lifestyle Communities® homeowner, you could sell your unwanted items in our Buy, Swap, Sell Facebook Group!

Websites like Upwork.com and Freelancer.com allow anyone to create a profile and pitch for work posted by individuals and brands. List any qualifications you have along with your interests and experience in particular areas to put your best foot forward. You could be making extra cash in no time!

Share your skills
Teaching others is not only a great way to earn extra cash, but you'll meet new people and feel a greater sense of purpose by sharing your valuable skills with others. Perhaps you could join a driving school and provide driving lessons or teach English to those who are learning English as a second language. Get creative with what value you could share with the world!
