Supporting Each Other Through Covid-19

Where there’s still safety in numbers

At Lifestyle Communities we acknowledge what’s going on in the world right now with the Covid-19 virus, and first and foremost we hope you and your families are healthy and well.

We genuinely believe there’s no better place to be in a time of crisis like this than at Lifestyle Communities, where the strength of community spirit is in abundance.

We are so proud of the stories of care and companionship that are taking place daily at our communities and invite you to learn more about The Lifestyle Way.

Keeping our homeowners healthy and well

As we all know, this is a rapidly evolving situation, and Lifestyle Communities is keeping up-to-date with advice from the Australian Government to ensure the ongoing wellbeing of our homeowners, employees and visitors. As a result, we have implemented the following:

  • Clubhouses, shared amenities and our outdoor sport facilities are temporarily closed.
  • Our group events have been postponed in line with Government directives.
  • We are working with the latest available information to best safeguard the health and wellbeing of our homeowners.
  • Our Wellness Team continues to evolve inside this virtual world, and engage with our homeowners; encouraging good health, movement, laughter and a sense of community.

We're here for you

While physical distancing and self-isolation becomes the new normal for a while, staying connected is so important for us all and digital connections will keep the conversations going.

We encourage you to follow us on Facebook to stay connected and engaged.

“Conversations will not be cancelled. Relationships will not be cancelled. Hope will not be cancelled. May we lean into the good stuff that remains.”

What’s on your mind?

  • Are works on site still proceeding?

Lifestyle Communities is committed to working in line with government restrictions. With recent announcements of changes associated within the building and construction industry, there have been some impacts on our sites resulting in a slower construction time frame. We’re working very closely with our building contractors to understand the impacts and are working to mitigate any potential delays. Construction works will still continue, just at a reduced capacity to align with government requirements.

  • Will the construction of my home be impacted?

The new restrictions will have an impact on our ability to meet current construction time frames. We are doing everything we can to avoid any changes to home completion dates and are working through each home individually. If your home timeline is going to be impacted, we will be in contact with you directly to talk you through this in more detail and provide further clarity and information.

  • Are the new Clubhouse buildings still going to get built?

The construction of our amazing resort-style Clubhouses are still planned and underway. We expect that the restrictions will cause some delays to the build timeframe and we are working closely with the building contractors to understand what these delays may be, however we do not expect the delays to be greater than 6 weeks and will continue to keep momentum where we can in line with restrictions.

  • Can I still visit a community?

Personal tours can be arranged via appointment for our communities under Stage 3 restrictions. However, if you have recently travelled in the last 14 days, had direct contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19, or are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, a cough, sore throat or breathing difficulties, we kindly ask you to postpone your visit to another time.

We also have the option of conducting appointments via phone and video chat should this be your preference.

For our communities under Stage 4 restrictions, please get in touch and we can take you through everything virtually.

  • I feel uncertain about the economic climate and my ability to sell my home.

We appreciate that there is so much information out there and that things can be overwhelming, and in times like these it’s reassuring to know that Lifestyle Communities has very generous settlement terms for your new home. You have up to 6 months after your home has been completed to settle and we also offer very flexible deposit options.

If you are concerned about selling your current home please don’t be worried, we are here to work with you during this time in a no pressure environment. Whilst no one has a crystal ball, we will all get through this together, and we will support you in taking the next step in your journey to downsize to a bigger life.

  • I'm a self-funded retiree and my superannuation balance has reduced. What now?

With super funds falling victim to the effects of Covid-19, you might be searching for a way to keep your retirement plan healthy. The great news is that our model of affordability means you can unlock equity tied up in your old house to put towards your retirement nest egg. Plus, you’ll have no stamp duty, council rates or water rates to pay, so you can keep your retirement plan alive and well, no matter what happens to your super.

  • How can I stay in touch and get updated?

If you have any questions for our team, please don’t hesitate to call us on 1300 50 55 60. We’re happy to talk you through how you’re feeling at this time.
