There’s a long list of things we’re proud of at Lifestyle Communities, but one thing that always tops this list is the generosity of our homeowners. Come rain, hail or shine (or a worldwide pandemic!), nothing dampens the display of dedication by our homeowners to support charities and research organisations, and every year their generosity never ceases to amaze us!
In the 20/21 financial year, our homeowners raised a mind-blowing $34,553 for a range of cancer-based charities! Combined with the contributions from the Lifestyle Foundation, a total of $126,800 was donated – a figure we’re exceptionally proud of.
Established in honour of Dael Perlov, one of our founding members who lost his life to pancreatic cancer in 2014, the Lifestyle Communities Foundation supports fundraising activities across all communities, and matches whatever funds our homeowners raise; dollar for dollar. It’s just one way we express our commitment to cancer research and is an initiative that has continually received great involvement from our homeowners, year on year.
The Mother’s Day Classic always receives an outpour of support from our homeowners, and this year was no different. In fact, the Lifestyle team definitely put their breast foot forward, being crowned the largest team to walk the fantastic event, and the highest fundraisers in Australia – an achievement we feel incredibly honoured and humbled by. Collectively, we raised a remarkable $60,375 for life-saving breast cancer research.
It’s fair to say that together, we’ve achieved some pretty wonderful results for 20/21. We find our homeowners’ enthusiasm for giving back truly inspiring, and we’re excited to continue giving as we grow.
